Bienvenue fellow wine enthusiasts and active tourists. Allow me to be your guide on an amazing adventure to Province in France. I offer a customized itinerary for your group (6 to 8), such as wine clubs. My style of touring is "home-based." Unpack once and explore from a central location. Your lodging is complete with full kitchen, where the group can prepare meals or decide to eat out. Daily forays into the surrounding picturesque countryside (bring your camera), will find us hiking (biking?) in the mornings and wine tasting in the afternoons. I will create a focused online seminar that matches your groups interests. The seminar will cover
an overview of French wine and specifics of the region that you will be visiting. Learn where each grape makes its home and how your local
wines compare to the French wines.
Join me and other wine enthusiasts for a week long visit to the Rhône Valley of France. Tours run from Friday (departure) to the following Saturday. You can either fly home or stay longer on your own. Contact me with your requested dates. Best to visit either in the Spring or Fall. We'll explore the vineyards of both the Northern and Southern Rhône Valley, while enjoying the sights of French wine country. You'll have plenty of time to venture out on your own from your peaceful country lodgings. Unpack once and settle into your surroundings. Let me handle the details so you can focus on the magic of this world renowned wine region. This will be my 15th visit to France. My experience includes conducting bicycle tours in France from 1992-2001 (Brittany). I have visited most of the wine regions of France, including Bourgogne three times; Bourdeaux twice; Alsace; Loire; Languedoc; and of course, the Rhône Valley Being a fellow wine explorer I understand the need to keep costs down while insuring a trouble free experience. Having conducted many tours to France I can put together a varied itinerary that will give you the best value for your dollar. Travel in France is unique; let me be your guide! Here's your opportunity to customize your tour. We will discuss which activities the group would like to include on the tour. With the pre-visit seminar you will gain insights on what to expect while traveling in France. In the past I've rented bikes and hiked many of the well maintained trails. The group may chose to spend some time exploring little villages on foot. Our group will be staying at a quaint rural GITE, the equivalent of an apartment. Gites are a well established lodging choice in France. I believe that you rather spend your time exploring the area than packing and un-packing every night. From this central location we will venture out each day. We will visit local food markets for our supplies. We will gather local meats and cheeses for our picnic lunches. 
PACKAGE. Seven nights (eight days) in Châteauneuf-du-Pape region! You will be staying in a secluded charming country Gite. Cost of lodging, transportation, and personalized wine guide service are included. Food, wine tasting, airfare are not included. The week long tour (7 nights) will provide many opportunities to discover the food and wine of the Rhône. Below is an example of a typical gite. 
Your cost is $1400 per person. $500 deposit
GUIDED. I'll be both your guide and driver. In all I've spent over a year in France! I have taken many groups to France when I operated a bike tour company for ten years (1992-2001.) Travel with me and I'll help eliminate the surprises!
DÉGUSTATION. In a word: wine tasting. Visiting the wineries in France is very different than here in the USA. Most are by appointment. I'll make all the arrangements! Fees are extra. It is always polite to purchase a bottle (if you like it) at the tastings. Here's an example of a typical tasting room. 
FOOD. You have the option of cooking your meals at the Gite or visiting one of the many charming local restaurants. Meals can be prepared individually or by the group. Food costs will be much like at home. I will provide a list of local restaurants. As for your Lunch, the group may decide to put together a Picnic and head for the countryside. LODGING. You will be staying in a comfortable country "GITE" These are rural accommodations complete with full kitchen. Each couple has there own private room or singles may share a room. Unpack once, then relax in the quiet gardens or take a stroll through the French countryside. (Below is a typical Gite.)
